Students from Ingham Academy have their artwork on display at the Wharton Center in East Lansing. As part of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts Partners in Education program, the students worked with arts integration specialist, Liz Wylegala, and Ingham Academy instructor, Elizabeth Lund, over an 8-session period, building confidence and creativity. Students did a line drawing of themselves, and each piece had to include a crown. Using watercolors, acrylic paints, posca pens and permanent markers to make textures, students found their artistic voices and took pride in their final products. Enjoy!
