Request for Proposals - Welding Shear
Ingham ISD invites proposals for a welding shear as detailed in the attached document. The welding shear will be used for student instruction for our Welding program at the Wilson Talent Center.
Key Dates:
- RFP Distribution: January 13, 2025
- Questions Deadline (must be via email to Purchasing): January 17, 2025, 5:00 pm EST
- Answers due to vendors: January 22, 2025 at 5:00 pm EST
- Proposals Submission Deadline: January 30, 2025, 1:00 pm EST
- Estimated Award Date: February 18, 2025
- Project Completion: No later than June 30, 2025
Submission Requirements:
- Proposals must be emailed to Purchasing with IISD Welding Shear Proposal in the subject line.
- Include: Attachment A – Proposal Certification and Vendor Information, Attachment B – Iran Affidavit, Attachment C – Familial Disclosure
Bid Specifications:
- Product: 6’ X ½” Steel (3/8” SS) Hydraulic Shear
- Required Features: Minimum 2 Position Power Blade Gap adjustment, 48” Power Back gauge w/LED Readout
- Preferred Features: 48” Support Arms/Front Gauges, 20 Horsepower Motor (prefer Baldor brand), All Hydraulic Fluids, NC Control 5 Station “Go To” Positioner, Solid Tabletop – Bolt on Segments, Neoprene Hold-down Caps, Auto-Lube, Keylock Switch, Light Steam Gauge, Mark II HCHC Knives or equivalent, Manual Swing Up Back Gauge.
- Include warranty details, include details of training and training materials, include details of machine servicing options, confirm compliance with building codes, and ensure minimal disruption during installation.
General Terms:
- Ingham ISD seeks best value and reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals.
- Proposals valid for 90 days post-submission.
- Vendor to coordinate with Ingham ISD for installation timeline.
- Vendor responsible for all costs and must not include any taxes in quotes.
Insurance and Compliance:
- Required: General Liability ($1M per occurrence, $2M aggregate), Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Umbrella ($2M).
- The vendor is liable for damages and must maintain all necessary permits.
